Hello and welcome to this week's blog post!

Sooo, I only started at St Benedict's for a year. This mean's I have never been at a big day out before but I hope it's fun!

I am predicting that we are going to H2O xtream, which I think will be soooooo boring! If I could choose, I would choose to go to the tramp park I think that would be really fun!!!

I went there in the weekend with my cousin Jessica and Kayla!
( not the Jessica at school ) It was really fun because I made friends with one of the staff there!

I don't really have that much to write about because I haven't been to a big day out before sooo....

Oh and my favourite part about this year is a no brainer CAMP!!!

COLLEGE?

College?

Welcome, Welcome to this weeks blog post!

Ok, so at the moment I am freaking out about college. I hope it won't be as bad as I am thinking it will be. 

I am going to Wellington Girls (aka WGC). Don't get me wrong WGC is a really good school. But I am not looking forward to the homework!!! 


Apart from the homework I am actually looking forward to College, especially drama as I will be doing it all year. And being at the same school as my sister, Maisie. Annnnnnnnnnd because there is Cheerleading run by William from Big Air were I train for Cheerleading. 

    

Book Week?

BOOK WEEK!

Howdy! Welcome to this week blog post!

 

St Benedict's has had yet another amazing week. We had a book week! And of course we had heaps of fun activities!

One of the activities was book character day! And because I am in LOVE with pll ( Pretty Little Liars) I had to be A. No one can really explain A, but all we know is she or he hates the girls. And the girls are Hannah, Aria, Spencer & Emily. So what I did for my costume is I just wore black because you only see A in a black hoodie. 

Another thing that I liked was the golden ticket. India, Henry, Jarden and I, had fun working together to find the ticket. We didn't have much luck. But we felt really stupid at the end when people told us what it was. For the first one we got all the clues right but someone found it before us. And the second one was a bit harder but yet again someone found it before us. And the third one I was absent.

Last thing I want to taco bout is the six tasks we get to choose. In this weeks task sheet we got given about ten tasks and we have to do six of them they are really fun I enjoy doing them. We just filmed a really funny movie. We recreated a book. Called "I Surprised my Friend".

My Favourite Book When I Was A Youngling?

Hellooooooo Everybody!,

Lets get straight into it!  

When I was about 7, I had a big interest in Pippi Longstockings.  I think I liked her because she is a bit like me. She was CRAZY.

Pippi lived in a Villa Villekulla. But before that, she was sailing the high seas with her crazy Dad. But her dad got blown over board so Pippi went to live in the Villa Villekulla that was pre-made. Because her dad someday wanted to live there with Pippi in the house. 

After explaining her back story the book talks all about the crazy adventures she has. After meeting her neighbours who she becomes very fond of. Tommy and Annika are their names, they share amazing adventures with Pippi.

With all this happening Pippi has a very good companion Mr Nilsson (who is on the right side of her).

She also has a horse. I don't think it had a name. Another thing you need to know about Pippi is she is very strong, stronger than any police man. She is so strong she can lift her horse!

I recommend this book if I would rate it, it would be a 1000/10!

HELLO and WELCOME to this weeks blog post!

So last Thursday we went down to the court and meet our coach. He taught us how to kick. This was very hard because I have never played football before. 

He taught us how to drop punt. You put laces away from faces. Put your ring finger on the sewing of the football. Crosses facing up and down. Another thing he taught us was to use our imagine and pretend that there is mud with icky worms in it, on your shoe. You have to flick it in your patterers face. This helps you kick straight and helps your patterers catch the ball.

We played a really fun warm-up game! We also got to kick footballs at the Teachers!! But I had a hard time aiming at them (I was aiming for Mr McGurk don't tell).

My Favourite TV show ?

HEY GUYS,

This weeks reflection is on you favourite book, TV show, movie, game etc. So I chose my FAVOURITE TV SHOW Pretty Little Liars. (Just to give you a break from Star Wars).

I am super excited to tell you guys all about it. Where do I start.....

Basically there are four girls Emily, Hannah, Aria and Spencer then there is also Alison, ( the one flicking her hair) if you count the "dead". The show is about trying to find out who "killed" Alison and how.

 If you look to the second picture it has an A on it. All the girls don't know who A is but they keep on getting mysterious text messages from A. A knows everything about them. There is more than one A. They think if they find out who A is they will find out who killed Alison. But is Alison dead?? I am not going to spoil any more now?! The thing about this TV show is that it is very hard to explain. So I recommend you go watch it !!!

The reasons why I like Pretty Little Liars is that it is mysterious and full of drama, crime, romance and all sorts of things! You never know what going to happen next?!?

 

My Dream Job?

My Dream Job?

Hello, Hello and welcome back to yet another blog post!

This weeks reflection, as you can see in the title is about our dream job!!

 My DREAM jobs would be to be an Actress and  Cheerleader coach / Cheerleader. If I got these jobs in collage I would probably have to take drama- acting, PE- cheerleading. If I really want these jobs I could do things outside of school to help me with these. Outside of school for cheerleading would be cheerleading (obviously!) and tumbling to get better at tumbles. For acting I actually took drama outside of school for a while. I have already taken drama classes so this is one step closer to being an actress. At the moment I do cheerleading so this will help me be a cheerleader when I am older.

I was so excited when we found out we were having a sleepover with Bella! (my bestest family friend) We packed my bag and we headed off. When we got there Bella said we should make some Marshmallow, so we did!! It was sooooo yummy. As the night went by we played minecraft. (we found gold and diamond) After that it was very late and we watched San Andreas IT WAS SO GOOD!!!( I recommend you watch it if yo get a chance to) then after MORE minecraft we went to bed....
In the morning we watched the Rugby world cup they were versing Georgia . (GO ALL BLACKS!!!) We had showers then mum came to pick us up to go home..... :( 

We did a lot of cool things in the holidays but this was very fun... We go to Bella's house every Wednesday for about 10 YEARS NOW..........

 For my Artist I chose Leonardo da Vinci. You probably know that he painted the Mona Lisa and many, many other paintings. Leonardo was born on the 15 of April 1452 and died on the 2nd of  May 1519 aged 67. I like the Mona Lisa because Leonardo painted it really well and she is a very pretty lady.

                                                                                                 

This is my favourite painting by Leonardo da Vinci it is thought to be one of the earliest paintings that he has done. This is a very beautiful painting. I love the angel and nature in this painting.

So over all I really like Leonardo da Vinci's paintings!

Flags

So you probably heard that New Zealand is changing its flag and if you haven't, it is. In this blog post we get to chose some flags that we think are cool. 

I don't really want New Zealand to change their flag because all these brave people fought and died under our currant flag, I don't like the idea of us just changing it, to me that it really rude!! I like our, flag some people say its to much like Australia's flag but its kinda cool because we fought together in war.

Anyway, These are what I have chosen:
1. I really like this flag because its a bit like our old one because of the union jack but I like this union jack better.

2. I really like the colours on the flag because blue is my favourite colour and I like the design. Its also really cool how it swishes up.

3. I like this because its really simple but really effective. I think they could add a little bit more because it's really simple, but not to much. Also they could add some different colours. 

4. This one is really cool. I like the green on it and how it's got a lot more stars than others. It also reminds me of the milky way a bit.

!My Celebrity Dinner!

This blog post is extra special! Do you know why? I get to invite two people that I would like to have dinner with. One can be real and one can be fictional! But I chose two real people.

Oli White 



 My first choice is Oli White. He is a Youtuber and he lives in London. He is friends with Joe Sugg and Casper Lee who are also Youtubers. You may have heard of Zoella who is another Youtuber and has written a book called the Girl Online. Zoella is Joe Suggs sister. Confusing right! He posts a range of different videos. But Oli White isn't just a Youtuber he holds a World Record of the fastest time to eat a jam donut without using his hands or licking his lips! If you don't know who this is I highly recommend you go on youtube and watch a few of his videos. He is really funny!
My Two questions would be:
1. Why did you start a Youtube channel ?
2. Do you ever think you would get this much subscribers?

Ewan McGregor 

Ewan McGregor is an amazing actor from one of the BEST films ever, STAR WARS. Ewan McGregor played the role of Obi Wan Kenobi and he played it really well. Ewan McGregor only played the part of young Obi then they had to get an older actor to play Obi as the movies continued. Speaking about that, I am SOO excited about the new Star Wars coming out at Christmas! Apparently Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are going to feature in it!! (they will be really old) 
My Two questions would be:

2.What was your favourite scene in the Star Wars movies?

My Grandparents

My Grandparents

On any special occasion we always go to my Grandparents house. Christmas for example. After we open our presents at our house we go to Granny and Grandpas house and open presents at their place!


We all sit on their couch and open the presents that we have brought for one and other. After we are all satisfied with our presents, we have our Christmas roast lunch. We have my favourite food in the world GRANNYS POTATOS they are so yummy! Then we have desert which is Ice-cream, escimo pies or pavlova which is also my FAVOURITE desert!


When we have all said good bye (not for long) we go to auntie Barbs house and have a big family gathering with Barbs family and friends and we jump on the trampoline.

MY Holiday!

Last week as you probably know it was the HOLIDAYS!!!

St Benedict had a two week holiday, (I know some schools that had a 3 week holiday!) and the first week my Mum had the week off because she's normally at work and the second week she had to go back :(  but that meant that I could go stay at my friends houses!(YAY) 

The First Week 

We didn't do that much in the first week but we did watch the whole Star Wars movies and they are my FAVORITE movie series! We also went up Mt Kau Kau a few times, it was tiring. On Friday Eva, Abby and I went to the movie Inside Out. It was a really great movie! But we didn't wan't to do much so we stayed home and kept warm and spent time with Mum before she had to go back to work.

The Second Week

Monday = My Sister and I bused into town and meet Mum (Mum works in town) we looked in shops and I got two bath bombs from Lush and a Cotton Candy frappuccino from Starbucks after that I packed my bag and then went to Abby's house for a sleepover.

Tuesday = Abby and I went to an Ice Skating Rink at Wellington Water Front and we got sushi and Wendy's ice cream and stayed up all night talking!

Wednesday = I went to my Auntie Barbs house and my cousins and my cousins friends and I went to Chipmunks. It was very weird to go there because I haven't been since I was really little. It has changed so much!

Thursday = My Sister and I packed our overnight bags early in the morning and Emma and Lucy came and picked us up to go to there house for a sleepover until Saturday! We went Ice skating and got to have sushi and went to the central Library and city gallery (we did a lot).

Friday = We woke up really late and walked to Miramar shops and got two movies one was called The invention of lying the other was the Maze Runner. By the time we had lunch and watched both the movies it was time to go to bed.

Saturday = Mum came to pick us up from Emma and Lucy's but we stayed a bit and had lunch and had pamper evening this included doing nails, foot spa, hair and my sister did my make-up. When we went home we had dinner and went to bed and Ollie came over at 11:00 at night! but I didn't stay awake that long. He came from Christchurch were he lives, he came to pick up his car that he bought.

Sunday = We dropped Ollie and his daughter Bluette (who was at the Arise conference with there church) to the airport and When we got home I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door and it was MERCEDES !! After we finished the biggest hug in the world she asked me if I wanted to come to Wellington water front with her and Veronica. When we got to the water front we went to Te Papa museum and saw, Gallipoli the scale of our war exhibition! It was a very good way to show people what the war was like. After that we were all hungry so we went to a restaurant at Beach Babylon and I got a Jaffa milkshake it was delicious!!!

  

And this is were the journey ends hoped you enjoyed reading about my holiday!  My question is - What is your place to go holidaying?

EPIC 

A few weeks ago the school created this thing called an EPIC award you get this if you show the EPIC values and they are Empathy, Perseverance, Integrity, Creativity

The value I think I showed is creativity because in our tasks this week we had to do title pages and I think let my creativity show I did a really cool K.O.S tittle page. (keeping ourselves safe.)

I also showed Perseverance at my Cheerleading comp we had to wait a long time we stayed 5 hours at the gymnasium and Zeal (my team) came 1st place and Mercedes & Siena team came 1st and they got a bid to go Australia and compete there !!!

The easiest value to show for me is Creativity,
and I don't really have a hardest value to show but I do have to work on some.

Every Thursday Room11 walks down to Nairnville hall to do a sport. We first did gymnastics and then we did rugby and now soccer.

I think I have been pushing myself at gymnastics because my front walkovers are much tidier.

In rugby, I really liked the warm up game because I improved my intercepting the ball and catching.

One thing I think the staff at Nairnville could work on is leading the stretches a bit better. Stretching before and after. Also let someone who is familiar with stretching lead the stretches like me! I train every Monday and Saturday for 4 hours at gymnastic and half that time we are stretching!

Guten Tag

Over the past few weeks we have learned about the German language. This has been really interesting because I didn't know much about the German language or its country.

I love lessons about German because after the lessons I get to talk with Mr McGurk in German.

I am not sure if I will continue German I might do French but German will be one of my options.

But if I ever go to Germany I will be prepared!

Last  week the Year 6, 7 and 8 did a amazing thing called the Mission Fair to rise money for Vanuatu Cyclone Pam. I was in a big group that did a lot. We weren't really set to stall but I was mostly on hairspray and face paint. I really enjoyed doing this as we raised over 2,000 dollars to all go to Vanuatu. I thought this was a really thoughtful thing to do and it was so fun!


My favourite part of the Mission Fair, was after we had finished my friends and I went to a computer room sat in a circle and put chocolate in the middle, that was from chocolate tasting and dared each other to eat a big piece of REALLY SOUR chocolate and not pull a face which was soooooooo hard!!!!!!!!!!!

So if you may or may not know the year 8 students went on camp to OPC better known as the Sir Edmond Hillary Outdoors Pursuits Center.

We did a range of different fun amazing things and we called them activities and the most challenging activities for me were the caving because there we a lot of tight spaces that made me a bit scared, and high ropes witch made me step out of my comfort zone even though I am not afraid of heights at all.


On Tuesday we did a really, really, really big bush walk which I  found easy and Hugo our instructor taught me how to use a map. When we were there we went on the flying fox and I also found that really fun and easy.

For some strange reason camp was not like I was expecting but I really liked it

My proudest moment was when I jumped of the bridge into freezing cold water it was so fun!, you could hardly breath but I convinced by friend to do it and when we were out of the water she said to me "I would of regretted it if didn't do it" which made my happy because she would of missed out on the fun!   


I loved camp and if you ever get a chance to go to The Sir Edmond Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Center go because its an amazing experience......:)

In room 11 its been ....... chaos But I like it 

Mr McGurk  SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fun he always is starting paper ball fights!

I find with the people I am sitting next to I work really well with like Jessica Sylvia and Grace they are some of my best friends in my class or should I say best fishes!!!

We got to choose groups of 3-4  I choose Jessica Sylvia and Imogen and selected the Maui and the sun legend and we have to do an art peace on it. I think we work really well.
